The installation of a converting line into the Roanne factory is the latest investment by LPC. The new converting line will see the workforce double with the creation of 50 new jobs by March.
The installation of the converting plant improves the efficiency of the LPC group and is a clear indication of their intent to further develop their European operations. A second converting line is planned for the Roanne plant later this year and even more jobs will be created.
Site Director Francois Flauto explains,”Until now we were producing paper reels which were sold to other converting companies. By reopening the converting site we will be able to produce finished products like facial tissues, napkins and kitchen towel ourselves which we will then sell to the retail industry. If things go well, we could see a second wave of recruitment of the same size at the end of the year.”
The continued investment by the LPC Group shows a commitment to long term growth by focusing on the needs of their customers in terms of service and quality. Converting paper reels into a finished product on site not only improves efficiency but also reduces the carbon footprint of the company.
